Legends Virtual Academy (LVA), a Tuscaloosa County Schools program, is a tuition-free, full-time online school open to all Alabama students in grades K–12. We are currently enrolling grades K–11 for fall 2025—with 12th grade coming in 2026!

At Genesis Innovative School, all students interact with one or more state-certified teachers (depending on the grade level) and communicate regularly with their teachers through email, telephone, and online meetings. Enrolled families receive educational materials, to enhance the learning experience. Extensive School Support System

Genesis Innovative School also provides an extensive support system for both parents and students.

In grades K–6, working closely with the teacher, the parent (or other responsible adult) helps to facilitate student progress and works to modify the pace and schedule as needed.

At the middle and high school level, students work at more of a collective pace with a class of students in conjunction with the teacher. Each teacher is trained in his or her specific subject area.
