Are summer courses and camps free?
There is no cost to register for the courses and camps listed above. Registrants at all courses and camps are responsible for their own internet connection and a computer or mobile device. For the esports-related camps, registrants are responsible for their own gaming equipment and any required subscriptions to compete in multiplayer games.
Are the summer courses and camps virtual?
Yes, all the summer courses and camps listed above will be held virtually. Upon registration, participants will receive an email confirmation for their chosen course or camp(s) which will contain the link needed to participate.
What's the difference between the summer math camps and courses?
Our summer math camps and courses are designed to help students catch up or get ahead on some essential math skills in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. The difference is these tuition-free summer math courses are condensed semester-long courses that students can take to earn high school credit (0.5 or one semester equivalent) upon successful completion, whereas our summer math camps are shorter, less formal, and do not offer credit.
How long are the summer math courses and camps?
Summer math courses meet daily (M–F) for four weeks. Summer math camps meet daily (M–F) for two weeks.
Who's eligible for the tuition-free math courses?
We've opened up these tuition-free math courses to let students who haven't yet experienced a K12-powered online class see firsthand what it's like. Students currently enrolled in a K12-powered school may also be able to sign up for these courses through their schools. Enrolled students should call 855.840.4864 for details. Spaces are limited and reserved for students in grades 8–12 who are not currently enrolled in a K12-powered school.
*Students must be 13 years of age or older in order to register for sessions. Eligible students who are not yet 13 will need a parent or legal guardian to complete their registration on their behalf.
