Raising the Game for Students Nationwide
Learning happens anywhere—not just in the classroom. That’s why we’re excited to announce a bold new era for the K12 Esports League, designed to help students connect, compete, and grow.
As esports expands across the nation, we’ve reimagined our student leagues to better reflect the teens, families, and schools we serve. This season, we’re unveiling a fresh new look, expanded game offerings, and a renewed commitment to providing meaningful experiences that align with academic success and real-world skills.
What’s new?
A Transformed Identity
A modernized logo and updated visuals help reflect the energy, inclusivity, and creativity of today’s student gamers. It’s more than just a new look—it’s a renewed promise to invest in the future of K12 esports.
New Games
We’re adding Marvel Rivals to our competitive lineup this year, joining fan-favorites like Fortnite, Rocket League, Valorant, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, chess, and more. Whether your gamer is a strategist, a sharpshooter, or a builder, there’s a place for them in the student league.
Competitive and Casual Paths
Gaming isn’t one-size-fits-all—so we offer options for every level of play. From casual events to competitive gaming in Open and Varsity tiers, students can jump in at the level that suits them best. Whether they’re just getting started or aiming for the pros, there’s a place for everyone.
Why Esports Matters
Beyond the screen, esports can be more than play. Participating in the K12 Esports League can help students:
- Develop teamwork and leadership skills
- Build confidence through competition
- Stay connected and socially engaged in online learning
- Explore career-focused courses in technology, gaming, and media
- Esports scholarships for students through qualifying competitive gaming
“All of these skills are transferable. We’re talking about media, communication, sport management, organizational management, you name it. I think esports touches all areas in all disciplines.” Doug, associate director of esports at Radford University*
“My grades have stayed straight As all year. Esports gives you a break from school to relax your mind, but it also doesn’t take up too much time, so you’re still able to study.” Brianna, 11th grade student**
